Died Sunday, Aug 24 1975 Mrs Leonard Tassava Mrs. Leonard Tassava, 65 of Ironwood township died unexpectedly Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth. The former Helmi E Talo,  born Jan 14, 1910at Ironwood,, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs Richard Talo.  She attended local schools.  On May 30, 1931 she was married to Leonard Tassava at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herman Matero officiating. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church Airport Road, and it's Sarah Circle. Survivors include her husband, Leonard; two sons, Marvin L Sr., Ironwood and James, Daggett; one daughter, Mrs. Rodney Mattson, Mentor, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one brother, Uno Talo, Ironwood, and one sister, Mrs Irving Brace, Ironwood. A sister,  Impii preceeded her in death Funeral services wil be held Wednesday at 1:30 PM at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter Laanien officiating.  Burial will be in Sunset Acres Cemetery. Ketola Funeral Home will be open for visitation at 5 PM Tuesday and the remains will be in state at the church from 9 AM Wednesday until the time of the service
