She established a stamping ministry, making greeting and get-well cards for outreach on birthdays, anniversaries and holidays, and thoroughly enjoyed stamping, card-making and scrapbooks. Myrna also enjoyed reading, and loved to cook and make beautiful hand-sewn quilts, especially for her grandchildren on their 21st birthdays. She was a member of a local quilting group, sang in the Range Chorus and performed in "Showboat."

In July 17, 1954, she was married to Dale Kangas at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ironwood. He survives. Myrna was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Also surviving are two sons, Scott, of Chicago, and Dave, of Ironwood Township; a daughter, Donna (Cary) Gustafson, of Crystal Falls, Mich.; four grandchildren, Justin and Danny Kangas, John Gustafson and Adrian (Lee) Francisco; two sisters, Sylvia (Bill) Dary, Ironwood Township, and Nancy Goodman, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
